The Woman Eater is a b-movie horror/sci-fi film directed by Charles Saunders and released theatrically in the United Kingdom in April, 1958. The movie was produced by Fortress Film Productions, Ltd., Eros Films and Columbia Pictures (US release). It stars George Coulouris as the evil Doctor James Moran and Vera Day as Sally Norton. The plot of the film revolves around the scientist Doctor Moran who discovers a special breed of tree in the Amazon that can produce an elixir that will bring the dead back to life. To harness the elixir however, Doctor Moran must satiate the tree's appetite with a steady diet of the most delectable entree in the world - women!
