The Wicker Man is a British mystery suspense thriller film directed by Robin Hardy and written by Anthony Shaffer. It was released in the United Kingdom in December, 1973 and in the United States in June, 1975. The film has since garnered a cult status and was remade in 2006 by writer/directo Neil LaBute. The Wicker Man stars Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee, Diane Cilento and Britt Ekland.
