- Wayward Pines was created by novelist Blake Crouch. It was a trilogy of three books published by Thomas & Mercer between August, 2012 and July, 2014. The three books are titled Pines, Wayward and The Last Town. The live-action series was adapted for television by Chad Hodge and produced by M. Night Shyamalan's production company Blinding Edge Pictures. It aired on the FOX Network for two seasons May 14th, 2015 to July 27th, 2016, spanning a total of twenty episodes.
