  • This issue establishes that all deceased humans will become a zombie regardless of the manner in which they died.
  • This is the final appearance of Julie as a living person. She is shot and killed by Chris in this issue and reanimates as a zombie.
  • Julie is the first character in the series to reanimate without having been bitten first.
  • It is unclear exactly how far along Lori Grimes is with her pregnancy, but she is visibly showing by the time the group moves into the prison.
