Issue #14 of The Walking Dead is an untitled story from the series and is the second chapter in the "Safety Behind Bars" story-arc. Notes & Trivia

The Walking Dead was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artists Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. This issue is intended for mature readers and has a 17+ readership age rating. This issue is reprinted in the Walking Dead, Volume 3: Safety Behind Bars trade paperback, the Walking Dead, Book Two hardcover collection, the Walking Dead Compendium, Volume 1 trade paperback collection, and the Walking Dead Omnibus, Volume 1 hardcover collection. This issue establishes that all deceased humans will become a zombie regardless of the manner in which they died. This is the final appearance of Julie as a living person. She is shot and killed by Chris in this issue and reanimates as a zombie. Julie is the first character in the series to reanimate without having been bitten first. It is unclear exactly how far along Lori Grimes is with her pregnancy, but she is visibly showing by the time the group moves into the prison.
