Uncle Sam is an independent American feature film of the supernatural thriller and slasher subgenres of horror. It was directed by William Lustig with a screenplay written by Larry Cohen. It was produced by Gable Productions and is a George G. Braunstein Production and a William Lustig Picture. It was first released in Greece on November 13th, 1996. It was released in Germany on January 27th, 1997 then in the United Kingdom in March, 1997. It was released in the United States on July 4th, 1997 to commemorate the Fourth of July.
