Train to Busan is a South Korean feature film of the horror genre with an emphasis on zombie fiction. It was directed by Sang-ho Yeon with a screenplay written by Yeon and Joo-Suk Park. It was produced by Next Entertainment World and RedPeter Film. It was first screened at the Cannes film festival on May 13th, 2016. It opened theatrically in South Korea on July 20th, 2016. It opened to limited theatrical release in the United States on July 22nd, 2016.
