Tony Randel is a film director, editor and writer specializing in the horror and science fiction genres. He was born in Los Angeles, California on May 29th, 1956. His earliest work was as a special visual effects consultant on the 1981 Friday the 13th spoof Saturday the 14th. He then worked as an optical supervisor on films such as Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World. In 1987, he served as editor on Clive Barker's Hellraiser and later took the director's chair for the franchise's first sequel Hellbound: Hellraiser II. He also directed several direct-to-video films including Children of the Night, Amityville 1992: It's About Time and Ticks.
