"Life After Undeath" is the title to the sixty-fourth issue of the first Tomb of Dracula ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It was written by Marv Wolfman with artwork by Gene Colan and inks by Tom Palmer. Colan & Palmer also rendered the cover art illustration. It was colored by Francoise Mouly and lettered by Denise Wohl. The story was edited by Marv Wolfman. This issue shipped with a May, 1978 cover date and carries a cover price of .35 cents per copy.
Dracula was created by Irish author Bram Stoker. He is the titular antagonist of Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula, which was inspired by an actual Wallachian nobleman known as Vlad II, aka Vlad the Impaler. The character has since been imagined as a powerful vampire count in various forms of media and has been played by many notable actors such as Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, Frank Langella, Gary Oldman, and even Leslie Nielsen.
This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority.
Dracula teams up with Topaz in one-on-one combat against Satan hisself!
Dracula is turned back into a human by the end of this issue.
This is the first appearance of Francis Leroy "Cowboy" Brown, who is an assassin hired to kill Dracula by a man who wants vengeance for the death of his daughter. Leroy becomes the central antagonist in Tomb of Dracula #65.
Topaz remains stuck in Hell for quite some time. She is not seen again until Doctor Strange, Volume 2 #75 in February, 1986.
