It was written by Marv Wolfman with artwork by Gene Colan and inks by Tom Palmer. It was lettered by John Costanza and colored by Tom Palmer. The story was edited by Len Wein. Dracula was created by Irish author Bram Stoker. He is the titular antagonist of Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula, which was inspired by an actual Wallachian nobleman known as Vlad II, aka Vlad the Impaler. The character has since been imagined as a powerful vampire count in various forms of media and has been played by many notable actors such as Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, Frank Langella, Gary Oldman, and even Leslie Nielsen. This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority. The tagline to this issue is "Battleground of Blood!" This is the twentieth appearance of Taj Nital. It is his nineteenth appearance in this series. He appeared last in Tomb of Dracula #31. He appears next in Tomb of Dracula #3. This is the fourth and final appearance of Adri Nital, who dies in this issue. He first appeared in Tomb of Dracula #28. He appeared last in Tomb of Dracula #31. This is the fifth appearance of Danny Summers. This is his fourth actual appearance, not including flashbacks. He appeared last in Tomb of Dracula #31. He appears next in Tomb of Dracula #36. This is the fifth appearance of Jyota Nital. She appeared last in Tomb of Dracula #31. She appears next in Tomb of Dracula #33. It is seldom that you see two distinctly different characters in wheelchairs in the same issue, but here ya have it: Quincy Harker and Jyota Nital. Quincy Harker's line, "Enter freely, Dracula. And of your own own will." echoes a similar sentiment spoken by Dracula to Jonathan Harker in the original novel Dracula and to Renfield in the 1931 film Dracula by Universal Pictures. Dracula makes reference to Quincy Harker's recovery from a recent attack wrought by his daughter Lilith. This happened in Giant-Size Chillers featuring Dracula #1 in June, 1974. Dracula makes reference to when he nearly died in the Transylvanian Alps. This took place in Tomb of Dracula #19-21. Quincy Harker created a radar system so that his wooden projectiles would home in on Dracula's heart in Tomb of Dracula #27.
