Overview[]
The Time Masters were a group of time travelers organized by Rip Hunter.
History[]
Time traveler Rip Hunter and several other people traveled to the 25th century where they discovered Earth recovering from a nuclear war. Hunter soon learned that an evil organization called the Illuminati would be responsible for this devastating future war. Because Hunter's method of time travel could be used only once, he assembled a team, dubbed the Time Masters, to travel for him and thwart the Illuminati.
When Hunter's lab was destroyed by the Illuminati, the Time Masters relocated to an underground base belonging to Cave Carson. One of the Linear Men, Matt Ryder, later brought the team to the Vanishing Point, a platform from which they could study disruptions in the space / time continuum.
