Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo is an American horror film of the predatory animal subgenre. It was a made-for-TV movie directed by Stuart Hagmann and written by John Groves and Guerdon Trueblood. It was produced by Alan Landsburg Productions and premiered on CBS on December 28th, 1977. The film stars Claude Akins, Charles Frank, Deborah Winters, Bert Remsen, Sandy McPeak, Pat Hingle, Tom Atkins and Howard Hesseman.

  • Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards in 1978. It was nominated in the category of Outstanding Achievement in Film Sound Editing for a Special and Outstanding Achievement in Film Sound Mixing. For the Sound Editing category, the winner was The Amazing Howard Hughes. For the Sound Mixing category, the winner was Young Joe, the Forgotten Kennedy.
  • Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo was released on home video in VHS format by Alan Landsburg Productions. It was released on DVD by Direct Source Label on July 11th, 2006.
