Tao's Children is a fictional organization featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is associated with the Man-Thing line of titles and made a single appearance in the second story from Man-Thing, Volume 2 #9 in March, 1981 called "My Soul to Keep!"
Description[]
Peace, love, and acceptance. This is the way of Tao's Children, who had amassed a small congregation in the Florida Everglades. It presented itself as the perfect environment for a teenage boy named Larry, who sought to escape the pressure of his overly religious parents.
Unfortunately for Larry, the members of his church felt differently. They kidnapped him from Tao's Children and locked him in a room where they tortured him for days as part of their deprogramming process. Larry managed to escape and made his way into the swamps where he had a chance encounter with the Man-Thing. The Man-Thing safeguarded Larry against the religious zealots responsible for his kidnapping and he reconnected with his friends in Tao's Children.
