"Blue Marigold" is the first episode of series 5 of the British anthology series Tales of the Unexpected. It was directed by Giles Foster and written by John Woolf and John Rosenberg. It first aired on ITV on Sunday, April 25th, 1982. In this episode, the Blue Marigold advertizing agency champions their star model, Myra, also known as Marigold. However, when it comes time to film a televison commercial, the executives decide that her voice is inadequate and that her lines will be dubbed over. This is but the first of many such dramatic incidents that will send Marigold spiraling into a world of pain and insanity.
