"The Thing from the Grave" is the sixth episode of season two of the horror anthology series Tales from the Crypt and the twelvth episode of the series overall. It was written and directed by Fred Dekker. It first aired on HBO on May 8th, 1990.

- This episode is available on disc one of the Tales from the Crypt: The Complete Second Season DVD collection.
- This is Fred Dekker's first and only episode of Tales from the Crypt as a director. It is his third episode as a screenwriter. He previously wrote "And All Through the House" and "Only Sin Deep".
- This is actress Cindy Riegel's first television work in the horror genre. She will soon after play Myrna the mummy (mother to the Crypt Keeper) in "Lower Berth".
