- The story from this episode is adapted from "Dead Wait!", the sixth vignette from Vault of Horror #23, written by Al Feldstein and illustrated by Jack Davis.
- Director Tobe Hooper is better known as the creator of the original 1974 independent slasher film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He has also directed films such as Eaten Alive, Poltergeist and The Mangler.
