The Taint is an American independent feature film of the comedy and psycho-absurdism subgenres of horror. It was directed by Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson based on a story treatment written by Drew Bolduc. It was produced by Troma Entertainment and Bolson Media Alliance. It premiered at Absurde Seance in France on October 8th, 2011. The movie was released direct-to-video in the United States on March 12th, 2013.
Plot[]
Two scientists named Ludas and Drew, who work out of the basement of Drew's father's house, come up with a male enhancement that they call "Cockzantium". Their boss, clearly suffering from an insufficient member, is very intrigued by their work and fully funds their research. Unfortunately, Drew's dad accidentally drinks the Cockzantium sample, mistaking it for wine, and flies into a rampage, killing his son with a syringe. Ludas goes to his boss and tries to get him to stop production on the Cockzantium, but it is too late. The boss has already dumped the imperfect solution into the city's water supply. Members of the male gender who consume the tainted water turn into murderous misogynists with enlarged penises that go on psychotic raids of rape and murder against women.
Sometime later, a young man named Phil O'Ginny, who for some reason, remains untainted, bears witness to several engorged psychopaths running across town, chasing and murdering women. He meets up with Misandra, a no-nonsense vigilante, who spares Phil's life when she sees that he is unaffected.
Misandra makes certain that Phil does not drink any of the tainted water. As they survey the city environs, they come upon a street gang who are led by a strangely masked individual. This man is Ludas - one of the two scientists responsible for the creation of Cockzantium. He wears a mask because his face had been ripped off by members of his own gang after they discovered that he was partially responsible for tainting the city's water supply.
Ludas kills Misandra, and immediately afterward is subsequently shot and killed by Phil. Phil harkens to Misandra's last words to him, and commits himself towards not being a misogynist. Taking up Misandra's vigilante campaign, he uses a handgun and stalks through the town, shooting off the penises of all those affected by The Taint.
