"Brothers" is the title to the fifth annual of the second Swamp Thing ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics. It is the first of two stories presented in this annual. The story was written by Neil Gaiman, with artwork by Richard Piers Rayner and Mike Hoffman. Inks were provided by Kim DeMulder. It was colored by Tatjana Wood and lettered by Tim Harkins. The cover art for this annual was composed by John Totleben. Totleben also contributed the interior coloring work as well. The second vignette is a ten-page story titled "Shaggy God Stories", and is written by Neil Gaiman with artwork by Mike Mignola, colors by Tatjana Wood and lettering by Tim Harkins. Both stories were edited by Karen Berger. This annual shipped with an August, 1989 cover date and carried a cover price of 2 dollars and 95 cents per copy (US).
Brother Power finally returns to Earth since Brother Power, the Geek, Vol. 1 #2 (1968). Power is revealed to be an imperfect elemental, similar to the Swamp Thing, and he is connected to all human simulacra such as dolls, dummies, statues, etc.
