"Heart of Stone, Feet of Clay" is the title to the eleventh issue of the second Swamp Thing ongoing comic book series by DC Comics. It is the first of two stories presented in this issue. It was written by Martin Pasko with artwork by Tom Yeates. It was colored by Tatjana Wood and lettered by John Costanza. The second vignette is a six-page story featuring the Phantom Stranger titled "And I Shall Stand in the Shadow of Death", and is written by Paul Levitz with artwork by Fred Carrillo, colors by Anthony Tollin and lettering by John Costanza. Both stories were edited by Len Wein. This issue shipped with a March, 1983 cover date and carries a cover price of 60 cents per copy (US).
Dr. Harry Kay tells Swamp Thing and his allies that he was a kapo, a Jewish trusty of the Nazi guards at Dachau. Paul Feldner reveals that Karen Clancy is the "herald" of the Beast, the "antichrist" foretold in the Book of Revelation. To stop her, Harry Kay and his aide Alan reconstruct the Golem, but it senses Casey's presence in a locket on Swamp Thing's body and moves to destroy him.
Millicent Bedford wishes to ease her aged, comatose mother by disconnecting her from a life-support system. But the Phantom Stranger shows her the fate that might befall her mother if she dies.
