July: Sam and Dean track their father to the Sunrise Apartments in Jefferson City, Missouri. Disguised as firemen, they ambush his demon guardians and rescue him. Dean shoots and kills the demon Tom with the Colt. "Devil's Trap"
July: Sam and Dean discover that their father is possessed by the yellow-eyed-demon. Sam shoots him in the leg with the Colt and the demon flees John Winchester's body.	"Devil's Trap"
July: A possessed trucker slams into the Impala with his rig, hospitalizing John, Sam and Dean.	"Devil's Trap"

• October 29th: The witch Tracy Davis places a hex bag in the home of the Wallace family as part of a blood sacrifice designed to summon the spirit of Samhain. Luke Wallace consumes a piece of candy and begins choking on razor blades, which ultimately kill him.

• October 30th: The witch Tracy Davis places a hex bag in the home a teenager named Justin as part of a blood sacrifice designed to summon the spirit of Samhain. Justin hosts a Halloween party that night and Tracy is in attendance. Her friend Jenny goes dunking for apples and is killed when the water in the tub begins boiling and she cannot free herself. • October 30th: Sam Winchester meets Castiel for the first time. (Supernatural: It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester)

• October 30th: Sam and Dean meet Uriel for the first time. (Supernatural: It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester)

• October 30th: Castiel and Uriel threaten to smite an entire town to prevent the witch Tracy Davis from conjuring Samhain, thus breaking one of the 66 seals. Sam and Dean try to stop her, but she completes her ritualistic blood sacrifice and Samhain rises. Samhain begins raising legions of the dead, but Sam uses his power to exorcise Samhain's spirit from its host body, sending it back to Hell. (Supernatural: It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester)

• November 1st: Uriel threatens to turn Sam Winchester into dust the moment he ceases to be useful to him. (Supernatural: It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester)
