Subspecies II: Bloodstone, alternatively known as Bloodstone: Subspecies II is an American horror film of the vampire sub-genre. It is the sequel to the 1991 film Subspecies and was released direct-to-video by Full Moon Entertainment and Echo Bridge Entertainment on May 26th, 1993. As with the first Subspecies, the sequel was written and directed by Ted Nicolaou and was shot on location in Bucharest, Romania. The plot of the film picks up immediately after the first movie left off and shows the resurrection of the main antagonist Radu Vladislav and the death of his brother Stefan (the hero from the first film). Michelle Morgan, played by Denice Duff, steals the Bloodstone from Stefan's coffin and attempts to flee Bucharest. Radu enlists the aid of his "mummy" to capture Michelle and reclaim the Bloodstone as his birthright.
