Spiral is a 2007 independent film directed by Joel David Moore and Adam Green. Moore also stars as the main character Mason, an introverted telemarketer and aspiring artist whose lack of social skills make him an outcast amongst his peers. Mason meets a whimsical co-worker named Amber and develops an interest in her. He musters up the courage to ask her out and invites her over to his apartment. Mason begins making a sketch of Amber, but with the caveat that she cannot ever look at his work until the piece is completed. Through the course of their budding romance, dark elements of Mason's disturbed psyche begin to surface and Amber slowly comes to realize that there is more to this quiet office worker than meets the eye.
