The Twist[]

Angela - Sleepaway Camp

There's something... strange about this one.

  • This film has a twist ending. Throughout the course of the movie, the viewer is led to believe that it was Peter and his father who died in the boating accident, leaving Angela as the survivor. In fact, it was Peter who survived. Adopted by a twisted aunt, who desperately wanted a girl, she re-named him Angela and psychologically manipulated the child's gender identity. The end of the film reveals that "Angela" is actually a boy.
  • A college student served as a body double for Angela at the film's climax. Allegedly, the student had to be plied with copious amounts of alcohol before agreeing to be filmed nude. A mask of Angela's face was placed over the actor.
