Skinny dipping is the practice of going swimming or bathing without any clothes on. In the 1975 movie Jaws, the character of Christine Watkins goes skinny dipping off the beach in Amity, New York. This proved to be a poor choice as she soon found herself getting eaten up by a great white shark.
There are at least three examples of skinny dipping found in the Friday the 13th film series. The first is in Friday the 13th Part 2 when the character of Terry goes skinny-dipping in Crystal Lake. In the next movie, Friday the 13th Part 3, several of the main characters elect to go swimming out by Higgins Haven. One of the group, Shelly Finkelstein, declines noting that he is "not that skinny". More skinny dipping antics took place in the next installment as well, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, where the main cast members took off their clothes and went jumping into a lake. Token nerd Jimmy Mortimer was embarrassed and made a point to mention that he had not brought a bathing suit. In Freddy vs. Jason, Jason Voorhees had a dream of killing a camp counselor named Heather, who had been skinny dipping in Crystal Lake.
On Scream: The Series, Brooke Maddox and Jake Fitzgerald broke into Lakewood High School at night to go swimming. Jake removed his trunks, effectively skinny dipping, with the intent of removing Brooke's clothing as well. The two got into a fight however and Brooke left after throwing Jake's shorts at him.
