Skinless Frank is not a brand of hot dog despite popular belief. Rather, it is a reference to the fictional character of Frank Cotton, who was the primary antagonist of the 1987 film Hellraiser and also made an appearance in the 1988 sequel, Hellbound: Hellraiser II. While the character was normally played by British actor Sean Chapman, the Hell-stranded "skinned" version of the character was played by Oliver Smith. Smith also played a sadomasochistic mental patient in the film named Browning.
