Sidney Prescott is a fictional student, Final girl and character in the Scream franchise. She was played by actress Neve Campbell and introduced in the 1996 film Scream. Campbell reprised the role of Sidney Prescott for Scream 2 in 1997, Scream 3 in 2000, Scream 4 in 2011, Scream requel in 2022 and the upcoming sequel Scream 7 in 2026.

Sidney Prescott is the main protagonist of the Scream franchise and currently one of three survivors of the Woodsboro murders of 1996. She is the daughter of Neil Prescott and the late Maureen Prescott, whose death is a focal point in the first and third Scream films. She is also the half-sister of Roman Bridger, the niece of Kate Roberts and the cousin of Jill Roberts.

- The character of Sidney Prescott was created by director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson.
- With the exception of Charlie Walker, Richie Kirsch, Amber Freeman, Wayne Bailey, Quinn Bailey and Ethan Landry, every Ghostface killer has had a connection with Sidney.
- Sidney is the first character to wear the Ghostface costume without being an antagonist (using it while attacking Billy Loomis with an umbrella in Scream).
- Sidney has been responsible for killing 4/12 Ghostface killers in the film series (the exceptions being Mrs. Loomis in Scream 2 who was killed by Cotton Weary, Roman Bridger in Scream 3 who was killed by Dewey Riley, Charlie Walker in Scream 4 who was killed by Jill Roberts, Amber Freeman in Scream (2022) who was killed by Tara Carpenter and Richie Kirsch in Scream (2022) who was killed by Samantha Carpenter making Scream (2022) the first movie with two Ghostface killers who were not killed by Sidney).
