Siddiq is a fictional zombie apocalypse survivor and a recurring character featured in the survival horror comic book series The Walking Dead, published by Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment. He was first introduced in issue #127 of the series in May, 2014. Siddiq made his live-action debut in the Walking Dead's eight season beginning with the episode "Mercy", portrayed by Avi Nash.
Overview[]
Siddiq is encountered by Rick Grimes and Carl during a supply run. While Rick runs him off, Carl ultimately bonds with Siddiq but when the pair are attacked by walkers, Carl is bitten in the process of helping him. Siddiq joins Rick's group to honor Carl and in the finale, "Wrath" is ordered by Rick to patch up Negan's slit throat, much to the horror of Maggie Greene.
Siddiq becomes Alexandria's doctor during the ninth season and is later captured by the Whisperers along with Alek, Ozzy, D.J., Frankie, Tammy Rose Sutton, Rodney, Adeline, Enid, Tara Chambler and Henry. Alpha spares Siddiq to send a warning to the other communities but he is still present when Alpha executes the others. Siddiq is also revealed to be the father of Rosita Espinosa's unborn daughter, having been with her before her current relationship with Gabriel Stokes.
In the tenth season, Siddiq struggles between his duties as a new father and PTSD from what he went through captured by the Whisperers. He is later strangled to death by Dante after piecing together that Dante was the Whisperer who forced him to watch the executions of the other survivors.
