A sickle is a hand tool used for agricultural purposes such as reaping crops or trimming down weeds. It is considered an old-world tool, and not one that is widely used today. For purposes of farming, modern techniques employ tractors and law mowers in place of sickles. Sickles have been used most commonly in films of the horror genre. They are often employed as murder weapons, and are ideal for slitting throats or even complete decapitation depending upon the strength of the wielder due to the tool's curved inward blade. On Daybreak, Sam Dean used a sickle as her weapon of choice in the Daybreakers final battle against the evil Principal Burr.
