Screamboat is an independent feature film of the slasher horror and comedy genres. The film resurrects elements of Disney's Mickey Mouse as seen in the 1928 animated film Steamboat Willie, which has since entered the public domain as of January 1st, 2024. It was directed by Steven LaMorte with a script written by LaMorte and Matthew Garcia-Dunn. It was produced by Kali Pictures, Reckless Content, Fuzz on the Lens Productions and Sleight of Hand Productions. It premiered on the internet in France on April 1st, 2025. It opened to limited theatrical release in the United States and Canada on April 2nd, 2025. It was released to streaming services and the home video market on May 2nd, 2025.
