A school bus is a big vehicle that fits lots of people inside of it. It is used as a means of public transportation. Think of it as kind of a big taxicab, but far less costly. Buses that transport children to schools are of course referred to as school buses. By and large, traveling by bus is a rather mundane experience, but you never know... sometimes you might find that one of your fellow passengers gets easily irritated and transforms into a giant monster. It's been known to happen.
In A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge, teenager Jesse Walsh always seemed kind of nervous whenever it came to getting onto a school bus - with good reason. How easy would you feel if you got on a bus and the driver was Robert freakin' Englund! Although his initial trip to school went off without incident, the treachery of ye olde school bus eventually caught up with him. In what might have been either a nightmare, or perhaps reality, Jesse, his girlfriend Lisa Webber and mutual friend Kerry were riding to school when the scarred hand of Freddy Krueger punched through Kerry's chest. All of the kids screamed in terror as the bus drove off the road and into the desert. Destination: Unknown.

- Oddly enough, very few people take a bus to school in horror films. In most cases, students seem to either walk, hitch a ride with friends or get dropped off by their parents. Weird, huh? What does the horror industry have against public transport?
