Saw X is an American feature film of the psycho-thriller subgenre of horror. It is the upcoming tenth installment in the Saw film series, and was directed by Kevin Greutert with a screenplay written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger. The movie was produced by Twisted Pictures for distribution by Lionsgate Entertainment and will premiere theatrically in the United States on September 29th, 2023.
Plot[]
Set between the events of Saw and Saw II, a sick and desperate John Kramer travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer — only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged and ingenious traps.

- This film marks the return of Shawnee Smith as Amanda Young, last seen 14 years ago in the previous sequel, Saw VI as well as the return of Costas Mandylor as Mark Hoffman, last seen 13 years ago in the previous sequel, Saw 3D: The Final Chapter.
- This is the second film in the Saw franchise (following the previous film, Spiral) to release outside of October.
- This is the first Saw film where the Metropolitan Police Department does not appear as well as the first Saw film to not be set in the United States, taking place primarily in Mexico.
