Samantha Parker is a fictional law enforcement officer and a central character featured in the 2002 "creature feature" film Eight Legged Freaks. She was played by actress Kari Wuhrer.

Samantha Parker is the town sheriff of Cochise County in Prosperity, Arizona. She is the mother of teenager Ashley Parker and adolescent son Mike Parker. She works with a single deputy, Pete Willis.
Biography[edit | edit source]
- Samantha Parker was only sixteen-years-old when she became pregnant with Ashley.
- She was once married to a man named Brian, but they were divorced after she discovered that he had been cheating on her.
- Samantha has always been aware of Chris McCormick's fondness for her, but was unable to explain herself due to Chris' sudden decision to leave Prosperity.
- Pulled over a group of motorcycle-riding teens after seeing that her daughter was associating with them. She gave Ashley a taser to protect herself.
- When the giant spiders began to invade Prosperity, Samantha went to Harlan Griffith's trailer to make an emergency broadcast, alerting the townspeople to take shelter at the Prosperity Mall.
- At the mall, Samantha volunteered to climb the antenna tower on the roof so the group could get a signal for help, but Chris chose to take her place instead.
- During the spider invasion of the Prosperity Mall, Samantha armed herself with a crossbow and took out several spiders. She also brandished this weapon, when the group were forced to escape into the McCormick Mines.
- Samantha confided in Chris McCormick that she has been aware of his feelings for her for quite some time and was eager to reciprocate.
