Sam Huntington is an American film and television actor born in Peterborough, New Hampshire on April 1st, 1982. Sam got his start in acting at the age of nine, performing for the Peterborough Players in his home town. Sam's first professional work was the 1996 television movie Harvest of Fire, where he had an uncredited apperance as a character named Nathan Hostetler. He then starred in a string of comedy films including Jungle 2 Jungle, Detroit Rock City, Not Another Teen Movie and Fanboys.
In 2006, Huntington became one of a number of actors to portray iconic cub reporter Jimmy Olsen in the film Superman Returns. In 2011, Sam reunited with Superman Returns co-star Brandon Routh for the horror/comedy Dylan Dog: Dead of Night. In 2011, Sam was one of three main cast members to star on the North American adaptation of the BBC television series Being Human. Sam's character, Josh Levinson, was a young, nebbish and overly neurotic hospital orderly who also happened to be a werewolf.

- Is a great-nephew of actor Ralph Bellamy who played Paul Montford in the original Wolf Man. Ironically, Sam would go on to play a werewolf himself in Being Human. When Bellamy passed away, Sam was given his Academy Award for lifetime achievement.
- Sam and Being Human co-star Sam Witwer are both veterans of the Superman franchise. While Huntington co-starred in Superman Returns, Witwer played a recurring character on the CW Network television series Smallville named Davis Bloome.
- Sam Huntington made a guest appearance on the "Dangerous Beauty" episode of the competition series Face Off in 2011 where he spoke about the dynamics of visual effects used for the werewolf transformations on Being Human.
