Bravo team is a fictional police unit featured in the Resident Evil multimedia franchise. They first appeared in the original 1996 video game, Resident Evil, which was first released in Japan as BioHazard.

Overview[]

Bravo team is one of two law-enforcement units that make up the Special Tactics and Rescue Service, also known as S.T.A.R.S., which is a special forces adjunct of the Raccoon City Police Department. They work in concert with the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team.

History[]

On July 24th, 1998, a string of grisly murders was reported in the Arklay Mountains outside of Raccoon City. The Raccoon City Police Department sent in the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team to investigate. Their helicopter crashed in the mountains, and only a lucky few were killed immediately. Those that survived, found the surrounding area stalked by monstrous creatures and undead horrors - all of which, were the products of bio-chemical experiments conducted by the Umbrella Corporation. The captain of the unit, Enrico Marini, ordered the group to search the surrounding area.

Another member of the group, pointman Kenneth J. Sullivan was attacked and killed by mutant dogs known as Cerberuses. Rear security officer Edward Dewey was injured at this time. Forest Speyer - the "Omni Man", contracted the deadly T-Virus, which transformed him into a zombie.

The group came upon a [[Arklay Mansion|mansion in the woods and sought shelter there. Enrico Marini discovered that an Alpha team member, Albert Wesker, was secretly a traitor who was working on behalf of Umbrella. Enrico came upon members of the Alpha unit sometime later, but Wesker shot him before he could reveal who the traitor was.

Members of Alpha team, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, fought against the horrors at Arklay Mansion. The last surviving member of Bravo was Rebecca Chambers, whom Wesker had captured and imprisoned in a laboratory. The Alpha members rescued her and they narrowly survived being killed by a hulking zombie known as Tyrant, before escaping from the mansion. As per this mission, Rebecca Chambers was the only Bravo team member still alive.
