Ronnee Blakley is an American actress born in Caldwell, Idaho on August 24th, 1945. Her first role in a horror feature was the Donald W. Thompson short Mannikin playing a singer who develops a growth on her upper back, which births a demon. The short film was based on a story by Robert Bloch. Blakley's most infamous role however was playing Marge Thompson, mother to heroine Nancy Thompson in the 1984 Wes Craven film A Nightmare on Elm Street. Blakley's character is a divorced alcoholic who played a major part in the conspiracy to murder serial killer Freddy Krueger. In 1985, she played Cassie Pines in the "The False Prophet" episode of Tales from the Darkside. In 1987, she played a character named Sally in the television movie A Return to Salem's Lot.
