Robert Cobert is an American music composer born in New York City, New York on October 26th, 1924. He is best known for scoring the them music to the 1960s gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. Cobert was credited in all 1,245 episodes of the series. His music was reworked for the 1990s Dark Shadows revival series. Cobert was credited in all twelve episodes. In addition to his contributions to the Dark Shadows franchise, Robert's music has also been featured in films such as The Night Strangler, Scream of the Wolf and Burnt Offerings.

  • Robert Cobert re-recorded the music for Josette's music box for the Dark Shadows revival series beginning with it's introduction in episode 5. To this point, the recording from the original series had been utilized. The new recording, which slows at the end and rolls its final chord, is used for the remainder of the series.
