Ridley Scott is an Oscar nominated British film director and producer. He is best known for directing the 1979 sci-fi/horror film Alien for which he won the 1980 Saturn Award for Best Director. In 2003, a special "Director's Cut" of Alien was released and Scott appeared on the DVD special editions to introduce the recut version of the film. Scott was also the executive producer on the 1997 television series The Hunger.
