Randall Drew is a fictional lawyer and a minor recurring character featured on the original daytime Gothic soap opera series Dark Shadows. He made five appearances in the series in total.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Samantha Drew married Quentin Collins, which made Randall part of the extended Collins family. In the 1830s, Randall had an affair with one of his employees named Joanna Mills, who coincidentally enough, also had a relationship with Quentin Collins.
Randall Drew returned to Collinsport in 1840 to attend the funeral of his sister Roxanne, whom he had been told was murdered by way of "sorcery'. In truth, she had been killed by a vampire. Randall learned the truth about his sister, and confronted her after she had risen as a vampire herself. He forced Roxanne into the sunlight, which ultimately destroyed her.
Randall then became involved in the mystery of the warlock who was practicing witchcraft at Collinwood. After conducting a brief investigation, he incorrectly determined it was Quentin who was the warlock (it was actually Gerard Stiles) and went to meet with Lamar Trask to reveal his evidence.
While he was on his way, he was strangled by an unknown culprit. It was later revealed that he was killed by Gabriel Collins, and Quentin was framed for the murder. Quentin was arrested, but the charges were eventually dropped.
