The Premonition is an American feature film of the psycho-thriller subgere, containing elements of the paranormal and science fiction. It was directed by Robert Allen Schnitzer with a screenplay written by Schnitzer and Anthony Mahon, with additional dialogue supplied by Louis Pastore. The movie was produced by AVCO Embassy Pictures and released theatrically in the United States on May 19th, 1976.

The Premonition stars Sharon Farrell as Sheri Bennett, Edward Bell as Professor Miles Bennett, Danielle Brisebois as Janie Bennett, Ellen Barber as Andrea Fletcher, Richard Lynch as Jude, Chitra Noegy as Doctor Jeena Kingsly, Jeff Corey as Detective Lieutenant Mark Denver and Thomas Williams as Todd Fletcher.
