Overview[]

Phillip Anderson was a teenage mental patient and a chronic sleepwalker. In 1987 he was remanded to the care of the Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital near Springwood, Ohio under the care of Doctor Neil Gordon. He shared a room with fellow patient Roland Kincaid. Phillip enjoyed creating hand-crafted marionettes as a hobby. Like several other of Gordon's patients, Phillip was tormented by nightmares in which he was haunted by a demonic killer known as Freddy Krueger. After falling asleep one night, Freddy took hold of Phillip, tearing his tendons from his body and using them like puppet strings, making him walk into a restricted area of the building out onto a balcony. Freddy cut his "puppet strings", and Phillip fell to his death. [1]
