Peter Medak is a Hungarian-born film and television director born in Budapest on December 23rd, 1937. His first role in a horror feature was directing the 1980 film The Changeling. In the 1990s, he directed one episode of season four of Tales from the Crypt and the first two episodes of Kindred: The Embraced. In 1997, he directed the made-for-TV adaptation of The Hunchback and in 1998, he directed Species II.
