Otoshimono (オトシモノ), also known by the title Ghost Train, is a Japanese horror film directed by Takeshi Furusawa and written by Furusawa and Erika Tanaka. It was produced by Amuse Soft Entertainment and Pyramid Film and premiered in Japan on September 30th, 2006. The movie was released during a time when Asian horror had carved a successful niche for itself in the horror film market, particularly in the US, beginning with well-received films such as The Ring and Ju-on: The Grudge. In the film, a young boy finds a discarded ticket at a train station. A strange woman suddenly appears before him, warning him that he is going to die. After she disappears, a teenage girl named Nana approaches the boy and assures him that he will be all right, but this is soon proven untrue as the boy turns up missing shortly thereafter. Nana and her friend Kanae begin experiencing strange, supernatural phenomena related to the train tracks.
