The Other is an American feature film of the supernatural thriller genre. It was directed by Robert Mulligan with a screenplay written by Thomas Tryon, and is an adaptation of Tryon's novel of the same name. It was produced by Benchmark and Rem and distributed through Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. It premiered in the United States on May 26th, 1972. The movie stars Uta Hagen as Ada with Diana Muldaur as Alexandra and Chris & Martin Udvarnoky as the Perry twins, Niles and Holland.
