No Face is a fictional criminal mastermind and a one-time antagonist featured on the live-action children's television series Monster Squad, which aired on NBC in 1976. Played by actors Edward Andrews and Sid Haig, he appeared in the sixth episode of the show, "No Face".
Biography[]
No Face was a criminal mastermind and a master of disguise. He assumed the form of Chief Running Nose of the Hokey Tribe and convinced Mayor Goldwyn that the land that the city occupies was purchased from the tribe centuries ago for twenty-four dollars, under the condition that they would not subdivide. As the city broke the terms of the contract, "Chief Running Nose" declared that the property reverts back to tribal ownership. Once No Face enacted this part of his scheme, he then impersonated Mayor Goldwyn and decreed that all crime was now legal, except for the act of not committing a crime, which was now considered illegal. With his henchmen Plunder and Pillage, he allowed the city to erupt into chaos, while noting that at a future date, he would reverse the policy, and then have the police department (under his control), raid the hideouts of legally acquired loot, and then confiscate it for themselves.
Walter and the Monster Squad got involved and immediately realized that something was wrong with the mayor, after he saw how rude he was being. Walter began to suspect the truth when they saw No Face as Chief Running Nose. They noted his lack of sneezing, which was uncharacteristic since the real Chief Running Nose had chronic hay fever (hence his culturally inappropriate name). The Monster Squad exposed No Face and the real mayor resumed his proper position. No Face, Plunder and Pillage were all sent to prison to serve twenty years in isolation.
