"Touch that remote and you die! Now that I've got your attention, here's the deal. See those two people? That's Frank, and that's Fay. Strangers when they met, turns out they've got a lot in common. Both died on the same night, both ended up in the same body of water, and both took refuge in the same all-night cafe. Me, I run the place. Name's Blackie."

The series was produced by Wes Craven and starred horror film icon Robert Englund as the proprietor of an establishment known as the Nightmare Café. As the central setting of the series, the Nightmare Café was of supernatural and otherworldly origin, moving from locale to locale where customers would interact with the establishment's staff which included Englund's Blackie, a cook named Frank Nolan, played by Jack Coleman and a waitress named Fay Peronivic, played by Lindsay Frost.
