Nightmare is a 1964 horror/suspense thriller film directed by Freddie Francis and written and produced by Jimmy Sangster for Hammer Film Productions. It was released theatrically in the UK on April 19th, 1964 and premiered in the United States on June 17th, 1964. The plot of the film revolves around a young woman named Janet, a boarding school student who suffers from extreme nightmares of a scarred woman and a birthday cake.
