- Night Terrors was released to DVD (Region 2) on August 2nd, 2000 by Global Pictures.
- Originally, Gerry O'Hara was set to direct this film, but bowed out, not wishing to be involved with a film about the Marquis de Sade. O'Hara went on to direct The Mummy Lives and he was replaced with Tobe Hooper.
- Director Tobe Hooper is better known as the creator of the original 1974 independent slasher film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He has also directed films such as Eaten Alive, Poltergeist and The Mangler.
- Actor Robert Englund, who plays Paul Chevalier in this film, is more famously known for playing the character of dream-killer/serial slasher Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise. Englund has worked with director Tobe Hooper on several film and television projects beginning with the 1977 movie Eaten Alive. Englund next takes the lead role in Hooper's 1995 film The Mangler. Englund also appeared in the pilot episode of Freddy's Nightmares entitled "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and the Masters of Horror telemovie, "Dance of the Dead", both of which were directed by Tobe Hooper.
- First horror film role for actress Chandra West. She also appears in Puppet Master 4, Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter and was a supporting cast member on The Gates.
- Co-writer Daniel Matmor makes a cameo apperance as a priest in this film. He also appears in The Mangler, playing the role of Mark Jackson.
