Mucous Membrane is the name of a fictional musical group featured in comic books published by DC Comics. They are part of the Hellblazer franchise and first appeared as a group in Hellblazer Annual #1. Two of the more notable band members, John Constantine and Gary Lester made previous appearances. John first appeared in Saga of the Swamp Thing #37 and Gary was introduced in Hellblazer #1.

Mucuous Membrane is a punk rock band established in England in the 1970s. It consisted of front man John Constantine with Beano and Dean Motter on guitars and rhythm and Gary Lester on drums. The group had a single hit called "Venus of the Hardsell", which was released in 1978 by Snot Music.
