Monty Norman is a British film score composer born in London, England on April 4th, 1928. His only contribution to the horror genre was collaborating with fellow composer David Heneker on the 1960 Hammer Film Productions movie The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll.

Notes & Trivia

• Is best known for composing the infamous theme song from the James Bond film series. The memorable score was first used in 1962's Dr. No and some variation of the theme has been used in every James Bond movie ever since.

• His first film work was 1958's Expresso Bongo where he collaborated with fellow composer David Heneker. It was based on a story by Wolf Mankowitz. All three men worked on The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll as well. Norman worked with these men again on 1961's The Day the Earth Caught Fire. Monty composed the beatnik music for the film.
