The Monster Squad is an American feature film of the family genre with elements of comedy and horror. It was directed by Fred Dekker with a script written by Dekker and Shane Black. It was produced by Keith Barish Productions and TAFT Entertainment Pictures in association with HBO and premiered theatrically in the United States on August 14th, 1987.
