Monster Hunters is an American ongoing comic book series of the anthology format that blended elements of horror, thriller and adventure. It was published by Charlton Comics and ran for eighteen issues from August, 1975 to February, 1979. The series featured between three to four stories per issue crafted by several notable creators who would go on to become household names with larger publishing houses such as Joe Staton, Tom Sutton, Mike Zeck and Charlotte Jetter. As with many horror anthology titles, this series was narrated by a character named Colonel Whiteshroud, who served as a host, but occasionally interacted with some of the characters featured in the stories. Colonel Whiteshroud was garbed in the style of a big game hunter, but was in fact a monster hunter, and the president of the Monster Hunters Club.
